Michael C Place is the creative director of the London agency Build and initially followed his dreams to design record sleeves by working with Trevor Jackson and The Designers Republic.
Build itself actually does a large amount of work outside of music material but, here, I've featured his work for Flying Lotus [that I did think was not entirely dissimilar to Tom Hingston and Nick Knight's artwork for Massive Attack's Mezzanine] plus the packaging and identities for Simple Records and, sister label, Aus Music. Again, all of these work very nicely as part of a collectable series.
